This season marks the third straight year that Metro Sports Communications will partner with the DeSoto ISD to bring every snap and every touchdown of DeSoto Eagles football to a large, engaged audience.

Last season, DeSoto rolled through the Class 6A Division II playoffs – averaging 46 points per game – and won the school’s second State Championship, 42-17, over Austin Vandergrift. The Eagles are a favorite to repeat as State Champion this year and Metro Sports will broadcast every play throughout the 2023 season.

And this is big news this season as the state’s premier broadcast will have not only elite, Division I-caliber audio play-by-play with veteran play-by-play man Chuck Kelly, former TCU linebacker David Stoltzman and The Ticket’s Donovan Lewis, but will also have a live video stream so Eagle fans can watch the game while they listen.

All games are preceded by a one-hour Countdown to Kickoff with individual player interviews and the Claude Mathis Show and much more to prepare fans for the game. After each game, there is a 45-minute Eagle Post-Game Report, featuring live interviews with the offensive and defensive player-of-the-game as well as postgame comments from Coach Claude Mathis, game highlights, statistics and scores.
